God’s Best Family invites all teens and their families to Overcome & Thrive, an inspiring afternoon of workshops, real conversations, and interactive activities designed to help youth rise above challenges and step boldly into their future.

This event focuses on building confidence, leadership, and resilience while providing a safe space for teens to explore their strengths, connect with mentors, and discover their potential.

We’re kicking things off with a Chat N’ Chew Session where teens and families will explore self-awareness—the ability to understand your thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and values. Through open conversation and shared stories, participants will gain tools to grow in confidence and self-discovery.

After our Chat N’ Chew, we’ll head to the pool for swim time, games, and relaxation—a chance to bond, laugh, and celebrate the summer together.

This uplifting event is designed to encourage both personal growth and community connection. Whether you come for the conversation, the swimming, or both—you’ll leave refreshed in mind and spirit.

Ravens Caw to Action Day – Volunteer with God’s Best Family!

God’s Best Family is proud to join the Ravens Caw to Action Day, a community-wide day of service in partnership with the United Way of Central Maryland.

Our volunteer project, “Beats for Good – A Rhythm & Music Adventure,” will bring youth and volunteers together for an afternoon of creativity, collaboration, and fun. Volunteers will:

  • Help children (ages 6–12) design and build their own instruments using everyday materials.

  • Lead rhythm and beat activities that spark creativity and teamwork.

  • Support youth as they showcase their talents in a group performance at the end of the day.

This is more than a volunteer opportunity—it’s a chance to empower children through music, creativity, and encouragement.
